Free Fridays at the Imperial War Museum

Hi all so here is the idea. Free on Fridays. Every now and again on a Friday, i will look to post something free to do in London or around the world which are fun/interesting/quirky/weird etc Think of it as a way to broaden our frugal travel instincts or to do something wholesome for the day.

First up is (Drumroll please)

The Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road, London

A front on view of the Imperial War Museum, London

A piece of the Berlin Wall, which can be found outside the Imperial War Museum

What is it?

A museum that :

Covers conflicts, especially those involving Britain and the Commonwealth, from the First World War to the present day.

There are a large collection of vehicles, weaponry and stories from the conflicts and is a fantastic educational museum.

Where is it ?

Lambeth Road, London, SE1 6HZ
TEL: 020 7416 5320

Who is it suitable for ?

Adults of course, who would be interested in learning more about the war and the stories associated with it.

I would say children are suitable, but only those that are ok with potential scenes of war or similar scenes. I did notice a few videos, but these were more story based so you should be ok. So children over 10 would be my guess.
